Destiny 2 cross saves allows you to carry your progression between multiple platforms - whether it's PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PC or Google Stadia.
PvP and PvE are still the main gameplay modes in Destiny 2 Mac OS X. Regarding the characters, they are the same as in the first game: Hunter, Warlocks and Titans, each with its own features and powers. Go ahead, chose yours and enjoy the new Destiny 2 Mac OS X. Nov 10, 2020 Every new season comes with a new Power Level cap, but Expansions have the potential to drastically change. How leveling works in Destiny 2. With today's launch of the Beyond Light expansion, the Power level cap for weapons and armor has been significantly increased by 200 points.
This means you can play on a console in one session, then transition to playing on PC with all your progress intact. This is also useful during the next-gen transition period, for those migrating from PlayStation to Xbox, or vice versa.
Performing cross save is also required step in order to transition your account from Blizzard's Battle.net service to Steam when the service moved in late 2019.
Learning how to cross save in Destiny 2 is relatively straightforward, though there are some cross save restrictions - including access to any purchased DLC or expansions - you should be aware of every time you make the leap.
Note cross saves is different to Destiny 2 crossplay, which allows you to play with friends on other platforms, a feature that is coming later.
How to set up cross save in Destiny 2 on any platform, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC or Stadia
Enabling cross save in Destiny 2 is free, allowing you to dabble in as many platforms as you like. Before you can use cross save in Destiny 2, however, you need to do some set up so Bungie knows which of your accounts are connected together.
First, you need log into Bungie.net (via whatever platform-specific account you play on) to start linking platforms. Download os x lion free full version. That might include your PSN account, Xbox Live account, Battle.net account, Steam account and Google Stadia account.
After logging in, head to the Cross Save area of your profile to get started.
You might need to perform one or two steps first - specifically, if you have already connected a Battle.net account, you have to connect it to Steam, and any accounts you have linked to your Bungie account need to be individually authenticated - this is a simple case of clicking the 'Authenticate' button and logging in to each one.
Next, you need to specify which account you want to play on other platforms. You'll see underneath specifically which characters and your Silver balance you have on each one to make this clear.
You cannot cherry pick a mixture of characters and progress between accounts - only one set of progress from one platform can be shared with the others.
For most players who have been playing on one platform until now this is straightforward, but if you have been double dipping on say both PS4 and PC, then you need to choose just one to play on the rest.
With that done, you can then confirm the set of characters and progress that'll be available on each of those linked accounts. When you next log into one of those accounts, your characters will then appear - including all the gear, loot and progress you unlocked along the way.
If you experience any issues along the way, try using a different web browser to the one you are currently using, as according to several comments on reddit, this can help. Similarly, there have been one or two hiccups with error messages at launch, so waiting a few days after the feature has gone live might be wise if you're having problems.

Other details to know about how Destiny 2 cross save works
Download minecraft 1 8 free mac. Destiny 2 cross save has some restrictions due to the way you may have purchased content on one platform or another. They are as follows:
- Silver will be locked to the original account you bought it from, and can only be accessed again on that family of platforms (such as within PlayStation or Xbox). However, anything your purchase with that Silver - including various Eververse cosmetics - will be available on other platforms.
- DLC - including expansions, the Annual Pass and seasons - will be locked to the platform you purchased it with. To play that content on other platforms, you have to purchase it again on those platforms. This includes expansions such as Forsaken, Shadowkeep, and Beyond Light, and any Annual Passes. (Note if you are playing on Xbox with Game Pass, you will have access to expansions included as part of your subscription.)
- You will only be able to be part of a single clan with a cross save - meaning your current clan will be available on all platforms you play on. Also, you can only play with clan mates if they are playing on the same platform as you are. You can see whether someone is using cross save on the roster screen (thanks Imgur via CapnTopDeck on reddit for this sneak peak:)
- It is possible disable cross save - useful for revisiting characters not tied to a certain platform after the cross save move. Once you have, you have to wait 90 days before you re-enable it again - which Bungie says is to discourage 'activity like account recoveries by other players'.
- Cross save will unlock achievements per platform when you log in, allowing you to, for example, unlock all earned PS4 Trophies after playing on Xbox Live previously. Might be worth doing when New Light launches!
- If there was any doubt, the ability to use Destiny 2 cross saves are free - you just need to own any DLC on top.
Finally, remember that cross saves are different to Destiny 2 crossplay, which allows you to play with friends on other platforms, a feature that is coming at a later date.
Each new Destiny 2 expansion and season brings with it a higher Destiny 2 Power level cap to work towards.
In Destiny 2's fourth year, the Power level system was tweaked yet again. Every player now starts at 1050 Power, and as always, each new piece of Gear will increase that level.
As before, there are multiple level caps, and multiple Gear sources which will increase them - Powerful Gear and Pinnacle Gear.
It means at certain points, you'll have to change your focus to certain activities to keep levelling, all to help you access and survive end-game content.
It's a slightly overwhelming system to get your head around at first, and this page will explain how to navigate each step of the way.
On this page:
How gear levels work in Destiny 2 and the max level cap explained
Destiny 2's levelling system operates with three different caps to work towards, each requiring different sources of gear to level up past. Here's what they are at a glance:
- Legendary Gear cap - 1200 Power Level
- Powerful Gear cap - 1250 Power Level
- Pinnacle Gear cap - 1260 Power Level

Technically, however, the level cap goes beyond 1260 with the artefact. Introduced in late 2019 with Shadowkeep, every new season will give you this item, and by levelling it up, you'll receive a series of bonuses - including temporary additional levels that adds to your Power, allowing you to go beyond the level cap. (Or, if you're not there yet, a slight boost to nudge you towards it.)
The end of season, however, sees things reset and change. This includes the artefact, which will start over, so you have to level up the power level bonus once more. As well as this, the gear cap itself will increase - usually by 50 or so each season.
This way, there's always something to work towards each season, even if you've got all your gear to the cap.
How to get to Legendary Gear to get to the 1200 Power Soft Cap in Destiny 2
Learning which sources give what Power loot is key to faster and more effective levelling. The vast majority of activities will drop loot up to the 'soft' Legendary cap of 1200, meaning when you start out playing Destiny 2, you simply play the game how you want to level up.
Here's an idea of what this includes:
- Blue and Purple drops from enemies
- Decrypting Blue and Purple Engrams
- Individual Clan Bounties
- Completing activities (such as Public Events, Lost Sectors, Strikes, Crucible) and opening Loot Chests
- Daily Heroic Story Mission (Vanguard playlist)
- Year 2 and 3 Raids (such as Last Wish, Garden of Salvation) encounter wins and completions
- Year 2 and 3 dungeons
- Regular Nightfall playlist
You can also complete Powerful Gear and Pinnacle Gear activities, though the drops will be in line with your current level than leapfrog you past that. Epic action llc refund.
Additional note: Redeeming Tokens at Vendors no long drop up to the soft cap as with previous years, and will give you gear 20 power lower. Gear from Collections, meanwhile, will always drop at 1050.
In short, to get to 1200, it's simple a case of playing any activities you like. If you want to speed this up and have completed all story missions, then Crucible matches and Public Events are among the fastest way to do it.
We'd also suggest you avoid infusing - which enables you to change the Power of a certain piece of Gear by 'consuming' another one - until you at least hit the Powerful Gear stage, since until then be getting gear so regularly it'll be outstripped by something else in no time at all. Though it's advised you play the game normally, there is a method to get to the soft cap quickly.
Destiny 2 fast levelling: How to reach the soft level cap fast in Destiny 2
How to open rar files on mac with winzip. If you want to reach the soft level cap of 1200 quickly in Destiny 2, then you can find a grinding spot to quickly get Engram drops. The fastest is finding a short Lost Sector, and repeating it over and over, giving you Legendary Engram drops on each boss completion.
One such location is the Widow's Walk Lost Sector, in the EDZ, one of the original areas of Destiny 2. (Update: November 12th: Bungie has since lowered the drop rate for this particular Lost Sector, so maybe look elsewhere.)
Another example is The Weep, also on the EDZ, as shown by Coozco on YouTube:
Now leave and return to the Lost Sector you've chosen, and repeat. If you keep this up, you can reach the soft level cap in no time at all.
Doing this will make the Beyond Light story missions a little easier to overcome; though they are designed to increase gradually, they can be difficult in spots, and this gives you a way to level past it faster than usual.

Legendary Engrams and standard loot will stop at 1200, and so you must seek out 'Powerful Gear'. This means you have to switch and work on specific activities to increase your level.
These include:
- Strike, Gambit, Crucible activity completions
- Season pass drops
- Completing eight Bounties for each Tower vendor
- Weekly Story Mission
- Prime Engrams (essentially a permanent Three of Coins buff in-all-but-name)
- Exotic Engrams
- There are also a handful of 'one-time' sources of Powerful Gear, such as Exotic quest rewards.
Additional note: Standard Legendary sources, such as those from Vendors, will increase in power as you do, but at a pace of around 10 levels behind. For example, if you are 1031, this loot will drop at around 1021.

When Does Destiny 2 Update
Once you have reached the Powerful Gear cap, you then have to switch to Pinnacle Gear to give you the last 10 levels you need to reach the absolute Gear cap.
These are amongst the most challenging or time-consuming activities in Destiny 2. Not only that, there are fewer of them, ramping up the grind.
Face id on mac. Here are all the current Pinnacle Gear sources:
- Weekly playlists for certain activities, such as Crucible, Strike and Gambit
- Earn Clan XP for Tower vendor
- Year 4 Raid (when available) encounter wins and completions
- Nightfall: The Ordeal reward for scoring 100,000 points or more
- Iron Banner Bounties
It's worth adding that seasonal events, such as Festival of the Lost during Halloween, offer a max Gear level weapon upon completing certain requirements, regardless of your current power level. These are well worth completing to raise your average level quickly.
Why Does Destiny 2 Crash
Getting Pinnacle Gear is a grind, and as mentioned earlier, your seasonal artefact can boost your Gear's Power level too - so if you're struggling with the above multiplayer-centric activities, then simply playing and getting XP will eventually see your Power level increase.
